Keanu Reeves turns 46 today. Did I ever tell you that my aunt met him while he was filming Point Break (circa this very picture!) on her block back in the day? She didn't know who he was because my aunt is unbelievably clueless, but she had this long conversation with him as he parked his motorcycle in front of her apartment while she played with her 2-year-old son in the yard. I'm planning on holding that against her forever. 
Mark Harmon is 59. I have another aunt who thinks Mark is about the dreamiest thing ever and would never miss an episode of NCIS for just that reason. I don't get either hot or bothered about ol' Leroy Jethro Gibbs (he's just a year younger than my dad after all) but I will admit he was quite the piece of man meat in his more youthful days.

Melissa McCarthy turns 40 today. Melissa is adorable, talented, funny (she was wonderfully enjoyable on Gilmore Girls and Samantha, Who?) and once got paid to pretend to be married to Ryan Reynolds and make out with him a little (in the movie The Nines, which I didn't really care for except for the partial Reynolds nudity). Nice work if you can get it! 
Chris Pine is 30. I always forget that he was the love interest in that really awful Lindsey Lohan movie where she was the luckiest girl in the world and then the unluckiest and then when I remember (after I Google his picture), I marvel at how that's kind of the story of Lindsey Lohan in general if you replace "unluckiest" with "stupidest" or "most poorly parented." But this isn't really about Lindsey is it? No. This is about how Chris Pine may have come from humble employment beginnings but he ended up starring in the most kick-ass Star Trek movie I've ever seen. Plus he's dreamy, so his life isn't too shabby at all. 
Joan Allen is 54. 
James Marsters turns 48. 
Amy Adams is 36. 
And my favorite angel, Misha Collins, is also 36 today. 
Kyra Sedgwick is 45 today. I hope I stumble on a giant bag of money soon, so that I can afford the many, many surgeries it will take to ensure I look that young and amazing when I'm 45. 
Robert Redford is 74 today. Have any of you ever seen Barefoot In The Park? He was a very good looking man in his prime. And his prime lasted a good long while. 
Christian Slater turns 41 today. Ah, I remember my youth when I thought he was the hottest thing since fire. I think nearly every woman in my age bracket has a favorite Christian Slater movie even still. Mine is Pump Up The Volume. What's yours? 
Edward Norton is also 41 today. He's quite the looker too but I'll never love anything he does more than I love his turn as Worm in Rounders. I know it isn't exactly the best movie he's ever made, but I still love it. 
My TV boyfriend, Mark Salling, turns 28 today. My TV boyfriend's age makes me feel slightly cougar-y. I hate that. 
The lovely and supremely talented Viola Davis is 45 today. 
And the ridiculously attractive Chris Hemsworth is 27. If you haven't seen either the Star Trek reboot or Perfect Getaway yet, then you probably can't fully comprehend his beauty. You should run out and watch both immediately. Rest assured, his relatively minuscule parts in each are well worth it on their own but there's also plenty of other eye candy to be had in both movies. Also, Star Trek is a genuinely enjoyable movie. You're welcome. 
Justin Theroux, writer, director, producer, actor, and all-around good-looking fella, turns 39 today. 
Joanna Garcia is 31. I think she's just as cute as a bug's ear and every time I see her face or hear her name it reminds me how bummed I am that Priveleged got cancelled. 
And a very happy 26th birthday to Jon Foster. The above is a visual representation of why it's a damn shame Accidentally On Purpose was cancelled. Don't get me wrong, the show was mostly not that funny (with the exception of Nicolas Wright's Davis who was nearly always a hoot), but Foster was cast as the young, hot stud so they weren't shy about parading him around sans shirt and thus - worthwhile viewing.
I guess you either love Kevin Smith, hate Kevin Smith or have no idea who Kevin Smith is. I fall into the first category. While I know his movies are hardly high art, I find almost all of them entertaining. I think he's a talented writer and actor if a somewhat pedestrian director (not that there's anything wrong with that). What I love most about Smith though, is SModcast. I know I've mentioned it here before, but it bears repeating - if you're not easily sqeamed by extreme vulgarity and an abundance of F-bombs (not to mention every other dirty word you can imagine), then you should really be listening to Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier sit around and talk to each other about everything and nothing. It is hilarious. 
Shantel van Santen, who plays Quinn on One Tree Hill, is 25 today. 
Kate Beckinsale, whose hair is probably the most enviable thing I've ever laid eyes on, is 37. 
Sandra Bullock turns 46 today. There's really nothing to say about how awesome she is that hasn't already been said so I'll just say that she's a great example for how a woman should rise above it when she's handed a pile of shit. 
Helen Mirren, who might be the hottest sexagenarian on the planet, is 65. 
And because the exception proves the rule, I might as well mention that Taylor Momsen is turning 17 today. Last week she was talking to some magazine or other about her "style" (ironic quote alert!) and said that she still wears things from "fucking middle school." She was, I gathered, trying to make the point that she uses "old pieces" along with new in her wardrobe but since middle school was 3 years ago for her, I was once again overcome with an urge to slap her and tell her to keep her fucking mouth shut. And also to petition the government to get her a parent who can actually PARENT. 
Josh Hartnett is 32 today. 
And Edward Hermann is 67. I deeply love Edward Hermann. Every time I tune in to a documentary I always hope that he's narrating. My wish comes true fairly often.
